Startpagina.nl/kids was set-up in conjunction with Nationale Kinderkrant (National Children's Paper). Research (of readers of the paper) showed that children wanted a Startpagina which contained handy links and features that were of interest and relevance to them. The extended Startpagina daughters' family therefore created a variant for children: www.startpagina.nl/kids.

The 50 sites that absolutely cannot be missed are prominently positioned on the Startpagina. The portal pays more attention to the presentation of subjects than a regular Startpagina daughter. Startpagina kids offer a wide reach among children and due to its extensive range of subjects attracts boys and girls with a diverse variety of search questions.
